Can We Learn to Listen to Each Other Again?

Clay Jenkinson will be our program speaker on Sunday, November 19th. Mr. Jenkinson is a well known American Humanities scholar, author, and educator. He has co-hosted the Thomas Jefferson Hour on Public Radio for many years, and this Spring, started a new radio program, “Listening to America with Clay Jenkinson”. He has appeared on five Ken Burns documentary films, most recently “The American Buffalo”. His program topic will be “Can we learn to listen to each other again?”

The Enlightenment insisted that there is Truth, that the best ideas win in a free marketplace of ideas, that humans can find peaceful alternatives to mayhem and ad hominem attacks on each other. Can America return to civility or is the genii out of the bottle?
