There’s only one interesting question in philosophy, according to a noted astrophysicist: What does it mean to live a finite, fragile life in an infinite, eternal Universe?
Our program will look at the wonders and mysteries of the infinite Universe and our humble, minuscule presence in its largely unknowable vastness — and then relate these ineffable wonders and mysteries to the dominant religions that center their beliefs on an omnipotent, supreme creator As one prominent atheist argues: “To say it must have been designed is a complete cop-out.”
And yet, in a “This I Believe” element, we’ll talk about how this absence of belief in a supreme being does not dictate a lack of spirituality.
